Adult Day Care Facilities help look after loved ones to provide relief from being the sole caregiver.  Are they best Choice?  They can be a good choice for short term respite.

However, as a long-term care solution, Day Care can delay finding a more permanent senior care solution.  Adult Day Care Facilities can increase the speed of decline for the caregiver.  Adding additional work & stress, because the caregiver has to get their loved one ready & provide the transport to and from the the facility. This can reduce the amount of respite benefit the family caregiver actually receives. This is just something to consider when evaluating all of the pros & cons of any senior care option.
